FAQs

Yep. There are no animal products (including honey) in any of our food.

Our menu on the Deliveries section of our website lets you know which of our food contains gluten, almonds, nuts, soya and mustard seeds against each item.
We cannot guarantee to be able to cater for individual allergies beyond this. If you have any questions about allergies of a dish, please contact us prior to placing your order.
We have a separate preparation allergy area, carefully keeping space, using separate utensils and handling each order with great care.
On the Deliveries section of our website, you can see the main potential allergens listed against each item. We cannot guarantee to cater for allergies beyond this.
Whilst we have total confidence in the measures we have in place and we will always do our best, we cannot provide a guarantee that food ordered will never come into contact with the allergen in question.
Yes! All of our curries EXCEPT our seitan curries, are gluten free. As are our rices and now we have gluten free naan options!

For local deliveries, we deliver to postcodes NE1-NE12. Tuesday to Thursday and Sunday, we can sometimes deliver outside of these postcodes. Just drop us a line to check and we can let you know.

For all deliveries to postcodes NE1-NE12, a £2.50 fee applies.

Deliveries outside of this, may attract a higher fee which we will confirm on enquiry.

Absolutely! We are very happy for you to! Our kitchen is based in Newcastle city centre. Just drop us a line with your order, any food allergies, mobile number and desired time to collect.

No they aren’t yet…that’s because to keep things fresh and funky, we change our desserts all the time. For orders with desserts, drop us a line and we can process your order another way.

We use DPD to deliver your Boxed. They deliver to all of mainland England and most of Wales and Scotland (Highlands excluded). If for some reason we cannot deliver to your address through DPD, we will let you know and offer a refund in full.

Our food typically takes 3-5 working days following (so excluding) day of order. This does not include weekends or bank holidays.

Whilst our food can be microwaved (once transferred out of the eco-pouches and on to a microwave suitable plate), for best results, we recommend allowing the curries to defrost ahead of heating and to warm through thoroughly in a pan until piping hot! Our breads do well under a grill or oven. For best results, our breads like 2 minutes in an oven at 180 degrees. They heat through pretty quickly so don’t leave too long or the lovely bounce will be lost!

We mark all boxes up as fragile. Although almost all of our deliveries thankfully reach their homes in one piece, there is the odd occasion when the box has been damaged in transit. In those circumstances, please send us a snap on what has been damaged and we will be happy to refund you for each damaged item.

It isn’t economical or good for the old carbon footprint to send individual boxes of curry across the country. We do not offer replacements, only refunds of the items damaged, subject to proof.

All packaging is 100% recyclable.

We are looking into options for this. Until then, please recycle unless you are local and can return.
